The Gayatri Mantra is said to be the oldest and most powerful of mantras, purifying the person chanting it as well as the listener. Now, the science of Cymatics reveals the beautiful, transformational patterns that these ancient sounds create when passed through water. As cymatologist Evan Grant notes, “Sound does have form and we have seen that it can affect matter and cause form within matter.” Using Cymatics, the science and art of sound visualisation, this video illustrates how water responds to the Gayatri Mantra, chanted by Deva Premal and Miten. It is incredibly beautiful.

The most famous study on water and associated vibrational energy were by Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist who captured images of water crystals that were exposed to either positive or negative words for a period of time. Beautifully formed water crystals co-relate to positive vibrations whereas deformed crystals were a result of negative, destructive vibrations.

Enjoy the angelic voice of Deva Premal and soak in the auspiciousness of this Gayatri Mantra anytime of the day, or even play it on repeat as a background sound.
